Dear Friends and Family, the pledge time has ended for my Kickstarter cookbook campaign, and although I was unable to complete my Kickstarter $$ goal (you don’t get any $$ from the pledges unless the goal is reached), I have learned a lot from this Kickstarter campaign. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up and I can assure you that I will NOT give up! Sometimes by loosing a battle you find a new way to win the next one, and that’s exactly what I am determined to do on the next Kickstarter relaunch. I really want thank each one of you for your contribution, it means the world to me that you believe in this cookbook!
This past month was one of the busiest and most important ones in my life. My beloved sister got married with 2 beautiful weddings, an Indian style with a sari and all, and a Mexican one. Friends and family members came from different areas in the U.S. and Mexico, and our parents as well, which stayed at my house for 2 weeks. Meanwhile I was trying to manage this Kickstarter campaign, (and whoa I had no idea what I was getting into), I had my cooking demo with ChefWorks, meetings with a new web client LIKA from The Amazing Protein Company, and looking for a new place to live. After the last wedding on the 18th, I cooked my last tamale dinner party at my house for all my friends and other supporters from the Kickstarter campaign. And packed and cleaned the house in 2 days with the help of friends and family. And so this week I finally moved and unpacked at a friends ranch house in a beautiful warm town called Chico in California.
I am extremely motivated and determined to to relaunch the campaign, while this time devote my complete entire time and avoid the same mistakes. I will need to reach out for your help again, with pledges, sharing social media posts, dinner events, among others. This cookbook is really outstanding and takes a whole new spin on vegetarian cuisine, because there is nothing quite like it on the market. I have tons of traditional latin dishes that are simple and delicious, showcasing how tofu can be manipulated into many exciting flavors and textures, please stay tuned for our Kickstarter relaunch.
